History of the website
Kamila Mazurowska (PL) and Kees van Gorp (NL) are two dog enthusiasts who met each other by chance during a training in Poland. Kees was teaching a one-week course for the Hovawart-group. The Hovawart is, together with the Boxer, a breed that they both greatly appreciate. Kees in particular has a lot of experience with the Hovawart and has written a number of books on the breed.
They soon discovered that this wasn’t the only thing they had in common:
- Both have begun with the breeding and training of Boxers;
- Both have their own obedience school;
- Both appreciate a beautiful dog, but believe that breeding a healthy dog, with a good character, should have the first priority;
- Both enjoy dog sports;
- Both are experienced in breeding litters.
Despite the fact that they have so much in common concerning their hobby, Kamila and Kees live 1300 km apart.
Kees lives in Tilburg, where he owns a beautiful obedience school and breeds under the kennel name “Houwaerts” (which has become renowned among Hovawart owners and hopefully soon among the Boxer community as well).
Kamila lives in Warsaw, where she works under the kennel name ‘Dla Ciebie’.
Approximately 30 kilometres from Warsaw, a new ‘Superboxer’-location is being build. Once it is finished, this location will be used to teach obedience lessons to Boxers and their owners. Future ‘Dla-Cievie’ litters will also be born here.
Site
While browsing this website, you can enjoy many beautiful pictures, usually showing our own dogs. These pictures will be updated regularly. There will also be regularly updated obedience lessons published on the site, complete with instructional pictures which will show you how to train your own dog.
There will be a large amount of information available for hose interested in dog sports, mostly in Dutch and Polish (on the ‘Dla Ciebie’ section of the site). We regret to inform you that, at the moment, we can’t offer you an extended translation to other languages yet.
Litters
We’ll offer you information on the litters that we are expecting under the section “puppies”. If you are interested in a puppy, you can contact us through the website and reserve a puppy in advance.
Cropped Boxer
Boxer enthusiasts who like cropped Boxers are still (at the time of the creation of this website) able to buy a cropped Boxer in various countries (among which Poland).
Despite this possibility, it is not the intention to solely import cropped dogs into the Netherlands through backdoor channels. Kamila and Kees intend to bring together strong and healthy bloodlines to breed as good a Boxer as possible. Everyone has their own opinion on the cropping of dog ears. Kamila and Kees chose to follow the rules of what is acceptable within the FCI and the kennel club that they belong to. Because Kamila’s current dogs have been cropped, you will find quite a few picture of cropped dogs on this website. Kees owns both cropped and uncropped dogs. In the future we will add more pictures of Boxers with uncropped ears.
Database
We are currently working on a database that will contain all Boxers in Poland and the Netherlands. We’re aiming to include dogs from other countries as well. Once it has reached a substantial size, this database will be published on the internet.
Visiting
We would love to welcome you in the Netherlands if you are interested in paying us a visit. We hold a regular boxer meeting every Monday evening in Tilburg! As soon as the new ‘Superboxer’-location in Poland has been completed, we will be happy to receive you there as well.
We always enjoy receiving emails from you.
